Start a new project in Reaper and load a few Waves and see if they work.
#Waves complete is not loading in wavelab 6 install
Summing up a little bit I get the feel something is wrong with the install on your computer - since Tracktion gave the same problems(guessing it was on the same machine).ġ. I knew they don't support REAPER when I purchased their products but I didn't think they weren't going to provide zero help :( I also contacted Waves because H-EQ has a CPU load problem when the spectrum analyzer is shown which is now about twice the load. It hasn't happened anymore, I wish I could help you :( I've been following this thread for days and trying to come up with ideas :( It happened to me once and I just closed REAPER, restarted and loaded the project again. Seriously, I got rid of Tracktion because of Waves issues and now not only does Reaper have problems but there appears no support? I really have no idea what my next move should be. I did have one Wave plugin I was able to insert on a track but now if I try to load the project it throws the error for that plugin.

But now if I try to add a Waves plugin it throws up the Waves License Error and refuses to load. So I saved the preset for each Waves plugin and deleted them.

Had a stroke of luck last night and the project loaded. The only directory scanned for plugs is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugIns.

But most of the time they throw up a failed registration error or completely crash the project on loading.

Waves CLA Guitars, DeEsser, H-EQ, Vocal Rider work as they should. As I said, every so often by some miracle a project actually loads and everything plays fine. If the issue is backwards compatibility I'd be surprised. The projects once loaded v8 but I'm having problems with v9. Rescanned in Reaper to just get the 圆4 references to Waves. I didn't dare moving Waves as such, since I don't know if registry references exist. I removed the x86 VstPlugins folder from Reaper which had the Waves dll, and created a new one and moved all plugins but Waves there. I could not see in reaper what was loaded. That happened to me, since no difference in naming of x86 versions. Thinking if loading is actually x86 versions bridged. I remember when going 圆4 there were many plugins that had different id as 圆4 version, so when projects made in x86 were opened in 圆4 there were missing plugins in project etc(since I didn't bother to install both 32 and 64bit of the same plugin in new daw).Īre both 圆4 and x86 versions of Waves v9 plugins scanned into Reapers list? Even tried adding the shell2vst versions but no difference.īut is Waves stating that v9 replaces v8, I mean being backwards compatible?Īs I understand your project once loaded v8 plugins. Just spent the last hour deleting waves, rescanning, over and over. I had no problem with Waves v8 under iLok but I am running all v9 Waves now. If Waves licence center is called Waves licence center then it does not appear in that list. Even tried adding the shell2vst versions but no difference. So see if we can figure this out I agree it seems like a license issue. +9 is a pain but it can work if you do it right The only issue is trying to run waves 7+8 or 8 I have used Waves in Reaper, Waves 7,8 and now 9 and I have never had a single issue. Is your clock date set wrong? check that please as that has been the problem with licence issues I haven't removed the plugin because 1 in about 50 time it loads and the project plays fine so it seems to me there is not really a problem so much with the plugin.įirst things first I need your OS, 64 bit? 32bit?Īnd if you are using ASIO and what Waves version you got running, is the licence center running? Right click my computer click manage in under services is the Waves licence center running?

I'm sorry but I don't really get what you mean by point 2. Thanks for the ideas.įirstly, v9 Waves plugins no longer use the iLok for registration. Did you try to remove plugin, and load v9 version for each track? This is necessary since they all load the same dll, and governed by a parameter which one each instance is.Ĥ. Did you "clear the cache and rescan" Waves plugins.

There are some settings regarding this.ģ. I would try running it within Reaper realm as well as separate process to see if any difference. Otherwise have you chosen anything specific for plugins, running in a separate process or similar.
#Waves complete is not loading in wavelab 6 drivers
I don't run anything with hardware locks now, but tried Syncrosoft stuff once(to run Cubase demo) and there were a separate install of drivers for that.Ģ. Somewhere there is a base of drivers for the lock. I would check if there are any updated drivers for iLok. There doesn't seem to be a lot of people experiencing this and therefore the troubleshooting is not too happening. I was directed here by Cockos support because they had no solution.
